What to Expect from Therapy
Many of my clients express feeling “boxed in,” as though their true beliefs, motivations, or unique traits don’t fit within society’s narrow expectations. This sense of confinement can create anxiety, shape behaviors, and bring out both pride and vulnerability. It’s this deeply human complexity that drives me in my work—to help clients find understanding, healing, and the freedom to live beyond those limiting boxes.

In our work together, my aim is to help you find more room in your life for closeness, connection, joy, and relief from pain. Therapy isn’t just a quick fix or something that feels good in the moment—it’s a deeper journey of understanding yourself and making real changes that matter to you.

If you’re feeling overwhelmed, looking for crisis support, or wanting to prevent things from getting worse, I’m here to help with that too. Crisis management can be part of our work. But meaningful therapy goes beyond just handling a crisis. It’s about facing the difficult parts of yourself that you might prefer to avoid and exploring ways to live differently. This takes courage, honesty, and a genuine openness to change. Without that desire for change, there’s no real foundation for the work we’ll do together.

In therapy, we build a trusting relationship where you feel safe to be yourself. We work as partners, with a shared understanding of what we’re hoping to achieve and how we’ll get there. My commitment is to help you find new paths forward, opening up room for growth, resilience, and a life that feels more connected and fulfilling.
My Story

As a therapist, my journey has taken me into the lives of many unique communities, each with its own strengths and challenges. I’ve provided support to women and the queer community in Miami as they confront the harsh realities of domestic violence and hate crimes. I’ve also worked closely with individuals experiencing homelessness, witnessing their extraordinary resilience as they navigate severe substance use and mental health challenges. My work with veterans has been equally inspiring, deepening my understanding of how trauma reshapes the human experience, as they often carry profound and complex scars from their service. Walking alongside so many individuals and families through life’s hardships has been an honor and a responsibility I hold close.

These experiences have deepened my commitment to healing trauma in its many forms—whether it’s rooted in addiction, developmental wounds, or the intergenerational pain passed down within families. I am dedicated to offering a space where this pain can be acknowledged and transformed.
